SSE Weekly Colloquium | 理工学院系列研讨会邀请
The School of Science and Engineering is committed to creating a platform for students and faculty members to exchange ideas and explore cutting-edge research developments in various fields of science and engineering. Starting from 2021 fall, SSE will organize the "Weekly Colloquium" series of seminars every Friday. Each week, SSE will invite our faculty members and distinguished guest speakers from outside the University to conduct academic seminars.
All students and faculty members are invited to join the weekly colloquium!

Abstract
The studying of nearly integrable Hamiltonian system is very important in dynamical systems, the typical example is the solar system. After several decades of research, mathematicians found it represents quite complicated dynamical behaviors, such as the coexistence of KAM tori and Arnold's diffusion, the long time stability of solutions in Nekhoroshev’s sense. Since 1980s, the similar phenomenon are discovered for infinite dimensional Hamiltonian systems defined by some partial differential equations (PDEs) by some researchers. In this talk, we will firstly introduce the development of these theories in finite and infinite Hamiltonian systems. Then, we will talk about its application on some Hamiltonian PDEs. Finally, we will show the long time stability of KAM tori for derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation.

The Speaker
Dr. Shengqing HU received her B.S. from School of Mathematical Sciences at Sichuan University in 2013 and her Ph.D. from School of Mathematical Sciences of Peking University in 2018. During her Ph.D., she spent one year in Brigham Young University. From 2018 to 2020, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mathematics of Nanjing University. Her research interests include: differential equations and dynamical systems, KAM theory, Hamilton-Jacobi equation, variational method, etc.
